The Maple Grove Triathlon is one rooted in community and that’s precisely why you’re so valuable to hosting this event! Please check the areas where you’d consider volunteering and assisting our valued triathletes, while having fun too! Remember that volunteering is a great opportunity for sports teams, work colleagues, families or friends!

Pre-Race

FULL Participant Packet Pick-Up: Be the first to meet and greet with Maple Grove triathletes while providing them with essential race-day information and swag.

FULL Event Set-Up (includes Overnight “Dream Team”): Work in smaller teams to set-up the race scene while getting a sneak peek of the event space. Overnight hours are required, but we promise to make it fun!

Race Day

FULL Event Ambassadors: First to greet spectators and athletes, Event Ambassadors are needed at the entrances to each parking lot and at park entrances to greet, direct traffic, and answer questions.

FULL Participant Check-In & Marking: Good morning sunshine! Welcome triathletes to the race venue; distribute participant packets, and body marking.

FULL Swim: The Maple Grove Triathlon is looking for lifeguards with CPR certification and volunteers to assist with wave starts and beach clean-up.

FULL Transition Area: Oversee and ensure the security of athlete transition area (athletes and their equipment).

Bike & Run Course Safety: Perhaps one of the most important jobs of the event, several volunteers are needed throughout the external park course to enforce event rules and regulations while also directing athletes along the specified course.

FULL Finish Line: First orders include offering jubilant congratulations to all finishers – high 5’s allowed! Next, you’ll help remove timing chips, distribute medals, and water.

Post-Race

FULL Food & Fuel: Volunteers are needed to distribute post-race snacks to all athletes.

FULL Medical Personnel: The health and safety of Maple Grove’s athletes is top priority. Are you qualified and wish to serve on our event medical team?

FULL Clean-Up Crew: In partnership with the Weaver Lake Conversation Association (WLCA) we are determined to leave the park better than we found it. Your help in preserving our cherished park during post-event clean-up is greatly appreciated.

FULL Guess What? I’m Flexible! Volunteers that are flexible to assisting where we have the greatest need are highly appreciated. The event requires coverage in many areas and your flexibility is incredibly generous!
